Reading a hotel review leaves a few traces. Here is each one, and the controls you hold over it.
Who holds the data
Responsibility for personal data gathered on spainfunplayes.com rests with the operator, Amscot Finance, Inc. (Amscot Financial), 600 North Westshore Blvd, Suite 1200, Tampa FL 33609, US. Send any request, large or small, to privacy@spainfunplayes.com.
Traces a visit leaves
- Connection details: your IP address, the broad region that address points to, the browser-and-device label (user agent) and the time and path of each page request.
- Words you choose to email us, whether typed freshly or drafted via our contact page.
- One small record of your banner answer, saved on your own machine.
Why each trace exists
- Server upkeep and defence against misuse: our legitimate interest.
- Headcounts of visits, never tied to a named person: only after you agree.
- Marketing, in the narrow sense of letting a referral partner see that a stay came via us: only after you agree.
- Writing back to you when you write first.
Who else sees anything
A hosting company stores raw request logs for us. Referral networks get a booking identifier, and only when the advertising switch is on. The moment you leave for a hotel or agency website, its privacy rules take over from ours. We trade nobody's personal data for money.
How long things last
Logs roll off the server within roughly three months. Email threads are deleted after the question is settled. Your banner answer expires after a year, at which point we ask once more.
European and British readers (GDPR)
Under the GDPR and its UK twin, you may see what we hold, fix it, have it wiped, pause or challenge its use, and carry it off as a portable export. Pulling consent is one click on Manage cookies. If unhappy with our answer, you may complain to Spain's supervisory authority, the AEPD, or to the equivalent watchdog back home.
Californian readers (CCPA/CPRA)
Californians may demand an inventory of personal information categories we keep, have entries removed or amended, and block any selling or sharing that feeds behavioural adverts on other sites. Browsers broadcasting Global Privacy Control get that stop applied without asking. Asserting them never earns you worse treatment here.
Younger visitors
The site addresses readers of 18 and above, or 21 and above wherever that higher threshold applies. If a message reaches us from someone younger, a parent or guardian may ask us to erase it, and we will.
